Course Objectives: 
The aim of course, to give an insight about theories of democracy, specifically the modern theories
Course Content: 

This course aims to integrate contemporary democratic theories into intellectual progress of students.  The main target in that course is to evaluate balance of political rights and civil liberties within democratic structures. The common key concepts in democratic theories such as electrol process, political pluralism, participation, functioning of government, freedom of expression and belief, supremacy of rule of law will constitute the course framework. At the end of the term, students who take the course will be able to code authority characteristic of states and make comparison between Fully Institutionalized Autocracies, Anocracies and Fully Institutionalized Democracies.
