Course Objectives: 
The purpose of this course is to introduce the historical sources of Turkish democracy and the background of current political parties and contemporary political debates.
Course Content: 

In this class, the Turkish political life will be examine around the politics in Ottoman Era, the War of Independence and establishing the Republic and the Single Party Era.

Then the important milestones of the Turkish democratization passing to multiparty system and the military coups will be studied. 

Course Methodology:
