Preparatory Class

Students learn German up to language level C1 for preparation of studying Business Administration in German language.
Language Level C1
The preparatory class works according to the common European reference framework for languages and consists of a beginner and an advanced level, each lasting one semester. Hard-working students thus complete the preparatory class in one year. At the end of the beginner level, the students must pass a test at the A2 level. After the advanced level (B2) and the last level (C1) the students can begin their studies in the department after completing the final language examination at level C1.
Intensive German Lessons
The lessons take place daily from 9 am to 4 pm. One lesson consists of six lessons of 45 minutes.
The lesson begins in the autumn semester in mid-September and ends with a final examination at the end of January. The spring semester starts in mid-February, the final test takes place at the end of June.
One semester covers 430 hours of German lessons. The students have an attendance requirement of 344 hours (80%).
Communicative Method
Taking into account the special needs of Turkish linguists, the lecturers work with modern teaching materials for young people according to the European reference framework.
Exemption from the preparatory class
Students with a school leaving certificate in a German-speaking secondary school in Turkey can begin their studies directly without a preparatory class. With one of the following certificates at level C1, students are also exempted from the preparatory class: TestDaF, Goethe certificate, German language exam for admission to higher education (DSH), German language diploma level II (DSD II), Zertifikat Deutsch für den Occupation (ZDfB), Austrian Language Diploma (ÖSD).
Educational Materials
The teaching and working books for the lessons can be bought by the students in the bookshop of the university (in the building "Sosyal Tesisler").
