Our department values interdisciplinary approach. The first two years of the undergraduate curriculum consists of core courses in the field of Political Science and International Relations. As of the junior year, students are able to select elective courses for their domain of interest. In the senior year, the students take course related to their career goals and interests while at the same time develop their intellectual knowledge with regional and free electives. An important strength of our department is the elective courses offered by the regional experts. Our department offers courses on society and politics in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and the United States. In addition to English, throughout their education, students can take elective courses from a wide variety of foreign languages, including Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, and others.

We update the departmental curriculum in line with academic changes and business needs of the time. We aim to ensure that our students are aware of the global changes and developments to be able to understand and address the questions that face publics, countries, and regions.

Our students are able to pursue minor or double major degrees from different departments including business administration, psychology, sociology, international trade, and others. Plus, with 526 international programs the students could participate university-supported exchange and Erasmus programs and spend one or two semesters in different universities around the world.
