Course Objectives: 

This course aims to teach how public opinion and the different dimensions of the subjects regarding public opinion can be scrutinized using statistical apparatus through analytical notions and concepts.

Course Content: 

In this course, the characteristics of citizens and individuals will be examined to understand different notions and implementations. Besides, how statistical analyses towards various issues related to people’s political participation can be conducted and how observed outputs can be interpreted will be elaborated throughout the course. We expect that individuals and societies will behave differently in distinct periods. How we can gauge such behaviors and attitudes, how we can analyze them and how we can interpret these results are the significant matters in the context of this course. At the end of the semester, we expect that students will be able to have an analytical thinking towards public opinion analysis and making scientific inferences.
