Course Objectives: 

The course aims that students learn basic principles of public administration and its functions.

Course Content: 

The course emphasizes on the conceptual infrastructure and terms for public administration. It provides an introductory survey to,

  • analyze all theories and practices developed in the administrative field,
  • present universal principles of administrative science,
  • explain the emergence and development of public administration as a discipline, and describe differences between public and private management affairs,
  • give a particular examination of administrative structures in various countries specially at continental and Anglo-Saxon administrative mentality.

In addition, the course aims to evaluate the new public management principles appeared since the early 1980s in the developed countries.
