Course Objectives: 

The aim of the course is to understand the importance of auditing in public administration, to give information about the auditing methods of Turkish Public Administration and to examine the ombudsman practices of different countries.

Course Content: 

In this course, why auditing is important in public administration, important points in auditing in the transition from Traditional Public Administration to New Public Administration, auditing methods of Turkish Public Administration, ethics in public administration and the updates on auditing in Turkey after the transition to the Presidential Government System will be examined. Afterwards, the ombudsman experience in Turkey and some selected countries will be examined.
