Student admission to our department is made in three ways; ÖSYS (Central Placement Exam) , Transfer and International Student Admission).
1. ÖSYS
As a result of the ÖSYS, the student is placed with the TM-1 score type. You can visit our university's website (in Turkish)for detailed information.
2. Transfer:
Inter-Institution transfer can be made depending on the internal and central placement score. Transfer application dates and quotas are announced in our university's Academic Calendar and on the university's website every year. Basic rules regarding transfer are also available on the university website. Transfer applications are carried via the Central Student Affairs Office. The transfer application is first evaluated by the University Transfer Commission, if an approval is given, Central Student Affairs forwards the application to the relevant faculty / department. Faculties / departments examine the official transcript of the applicant student and determine the courses that may be exempt from the applied academic program.
General Rules for Intra-Institutional Transfer are:
a) Intra-institutional transfers can be made to/from any undergraduate program within the university.
b) Transfer applications cannot be made to the first two semesters and the last two semesters of undergraduate programs.
c) In order to apply for transfer between undergraduate programs, the central placement score received by the student in the type of score valid for the Economics program as of the year in which the student took the central exam must not be less than the lowest score of the undergraduate programs of other universities in the country equivalent to the Economics program.
General Rules for Inter-Institutional Transfer Based on Central Placement Score are:
a) Horizontal Transfer between Institutions Based on Central Placement Scores is made between undergraduate programs that accept students according to the central placement scores of higher education institutions.
b) In Inter-Institutional Transfer applications based on Central Placement Scores, the placement score received by the student in the type of score valid for the undergraduate program he/she wants to pass, as of the year in which the student took the central exam, is required to be equal to or higher than the lowest score of Yeditepe University Economics undergraduate program.
c) Horizontal Transfer between Institutions Based on Central Placement Scores can be made to intermediate classes, including the preparatory class of undergraduate programs.
d) If the number of candidates who meet the conditions mentioned in Article 2 above does not exceed 10% of the total quota of the relevant program in the Student Selection and Placement System (ÖSYS) Guide of the year in which the application is made, all of them are registered. The Inter-Institutional Transfer quota of any program based on Central Placement Scores is determined based on the total quota in the relevant year's ÖSYS guide, but not separately for each semester and each class. If the number of candidates is more than the quota, candidates will be registered as many as the quota, starting with the candidate with the highest ÖSYS placement score. Transfer quotas and more detailed information are available on our university website.
3. Foreign Student Admission:
Rules regarding the admission of foreign students to higher education institutions are available on the website (in Turkish) of the Council of Higher Education. Foreign students can apply electronically in English or Turkish on the International Office website. Students send the required application documents (i.e. diploma, document proving that they deserve university education, transcript and reference letters ...etc) to the International Office , which are listed on the International Office's website. Students must bring the original copies of the required documents to the Registrar's Office when registering. Faculties review the official transcript of the applicant student and determine the courses that may be exempt from the applied academic program.
