Course Objectives: 

The main objective of this course is to provide students with a range of analytical and theoretical tools in order to critically assess and interpret the historical and modern State.

Course Content: 

In this course; the concept of state, the origin of the state, its elements, power, concepts of sovereignty, state forms, modern state theories, nation-state, Marxist, post-Marxist, liberal, neo-liberal state theories will be discussed.
