What are the advantages of studying Business Administration in German?

Nowadays, English education is provided in almost all universities. German stands out as a privilege among these. In addition, Germany is Turkey's largest trading partner and approximately 8000 registered German companies operate in our country. When our graduates apply to these companies, they are in a very advantageous position compared to candidates who do not speak German.

What are the job opportunities after graduating from the department?

Graduates of our department are especially preferred by German companies operating both in Turkey and around the world. Many of our graduates are monitored by many German companies during their internship periods and receive job offers when they graduate. Currently, Yeditepe International Business Management (German) graduates are currently working in German companies such as Siemens, BOSCH, Mercedes. However, graduates of our department are preferred not only by German companies, but also by international companies such as Daikin, Unilever and Ford.

What are the strengths of your department?

Among the strengths of our department are that we have a double degree agreement, Erasmus agreements with distinguished universities in Germany and Austria, courses are supported with case studies and information technologies as well as basic theoretical knowledge, and our students have the opportunity to do voluntary and compulsory internships in international companies.
 

What level of German language proficiency do students reach when graduating from this department?

The language proficiency of our students graduating from the Department of International Business Management (German) reaches the C1 level. At C1 level, students can understand comprehensive, long texts, draw conclusions, and use German flexibly and effectively in their social life, business life, vocational training and higher education.

Do students have difficulty using the German language while studying in the department?

We have a German preparatory program so that our department students do not have difficulties in the German language. Our students, who successfully complete the German preparatory program, will not have any difficulty in following the department courses when they reach the level of being able to understand difficult texts on concrete and abstract subjects in their outlines and follow the discussions related to their fields of expertise.

Is internship compulsory in your department? Do you have a project that supports internships abroad?

Yes, internship is compulsory in our department, and it is essential for students to gain workplace experience on subjects related to German International Business Management.  Students do internships in suitable companies for at least 40 working days. Students who complete their internship make an internship presentation. Our candidates who want to do an internship abroad can benefit from the internship grant from the Erasmus Program if they meet the criteria set within the scope of the Erasmus Internship Mobility Program.

Are there scholarship opportunities in your department?

Yeditepe University supports its students with various scholarship programs such as success scholarship, management scholarship and athlete scholarship. There are also two types of scholarships, full and 50%, that can be won through the Student Selection and Placement Exam. Yeditepe University's scholarship program continues uninterruptedly during normal education. The scholarships of our students who enroll in double major programs by meeting the necessary success conditions continue for an additional year.

Are there Dual Degree Programs?

The Department of International Business Management (German) has a double degree agreement with Fachhochschule KIEL University in Germany. The student studies at Yeditepe University for the first 2 years, and then studies at FH Kiel University of Applied Sciences for 2 years. If he is successful in his courses at both universities, he is entitled to receive the diploma of both universities. In order for students to proceed to the third year at FH Kiel, they must have successfully completed all their courses and academic requirements in the first 2 years. Since FH Kiel is a public university, no fees are paid. Only one fee (€265) is paid for each semester. Living (food, accommodation, accommodation) in Kiel can cost an average of 650€-700€ per month. Students are responsible for obtaining a visa for the country they will visit and complying with all immigration laws of that country. FH Kiel helps with such matters.

Are there ERASMUS and Student Exchange Programs?

Students of the Department of International Transmission Management are offered the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or a year through Erasmus and Student Exchange Programs. Our faculty, which has bilateral agreements with more than 100 higher education institutions abroad, attaches great importance to student mobility. The German Department of International Business Management hosts and sends students to many universities from all over the world every semester within the scope of Erasmus and exchange programs. Our department has Erasmus agreements with 18 universities in Germany and Austria, and Double Degree agreements with Kiel University in Germany.
