The project titled ‘European Union: Deeper Integration by Overtaking Crisis’ which is coordinated by Asst. Prof. Selin Türkeş-Kılıç, has been selected by the European Commission to be supported within the scope of the Erasmus + Program Jean Monnet Module Activities. The project, which will be carried out in our department for 3 years, will support the ‘PSIR 332 European Union’ course and provide advanced level of knowledge on the functioning and integration capacity of the Union through the question of how the EU responds to major challenges such as Brexit, migration crisis and Euro crisis. Within the scope of the module, students will have the opportunity to attend seminars by invited experts and simulation workshops to be held with different universities. The Jean Monnet module will contribute to the development of our students' critical thinking and creative skills while rendering our department to a hub for academic and policy-oriented debate on European integration.

This year, 251 out of 1315 applications across Europe were deemed eligible for support. ‘European Union: Deeper Integration by Overtaking Crisis’ module co-ordinated by Selin Türkeş-Kılıç, has been one of the eight selected projects from Turkey.
