Course Objectives:
In this course after processing migration terms, migration theories, migration types, main causes and consequences of migration, various issues such as migration from Turkey and to Turkey, international migration, migration policies of the States, diasporas will be analysed.
Course Content:
In this course different dimensions og migration such as economic, political, demographic, social and cultural, which is becoming more and more important in the international area will be analysed. In addition refugee issue will be examined under international law, and the actions of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHRC) and International Migration Organization (IOM) will be included. Issues such as integration, assimilation and discrimination in the countries where immigrants migrate, are also important for the content of the course.
