Course Objectives: 
This course aims to explain the fundamental structure and main problems of Turkish economy in a historical perspective.
Course Content: 
The collapsing period of the Ottoman Empire, reconstruction and national recovery period, Integration efforts into the international economy after the World War II, the period of planned economic development, Liberalisation policies after 1980, Crisis years: 1990-2001, the relative stability and the future of the Turkish economy.
Course Methodology:
