Course Objectives: 

The purpose of this course is to teach the basic understanding in the fundamentals of the railroad infrastructure and rolling stock, know the principle components and terminologies used in different aspects of rail transportation.

Course Content: 

Train dynamics and resistance, railroad   organisations, energy usage, locomotives, railcar components and types.
