Course Objectives: 

A thorough analysis of the European Union from various perspectives is given.

Course Content: 

The course starts with the theories and effects of economic integration. It also covers the analytical aspects of the historical developments and the structural organization of the EU and the single market. Moreover, the course focuses on the transition to a single currency (the euro) and the monetary and fiscal policies of Europe as well as some other policy problems.The students are expected to develop their research and communication skills by preparing and presenting their term papers in the classroom.
