Course Objectives: 

TKL 202 Turkish Language course is among the compulsory university courses. It is essential that students continue their Turkish Language and Literature education at primary and secondary education levels and the language skills they have acquired in this context at the higher education level. This course is organized within the framework of this principle specified in the YÖK law.

Course Content: 

To develop students' reading and comprehension skills. To explain the theoretical relationship between the given world, writing and fiction. To show students that reading skills will enable them to better understand the modern world order that is "realized" through narrative. In this direction, pointing out that the most fundamental contradiction that determines our age is the acceptance of an unconditional growth model as essential for a welfare society in a planet with limited resources. To overcome this contradiction, discuss the transition to a new literacy model that focuses on “sustainability”. To teach the right questions to be asked to the text for a qualified reading that will take place in this context. To make students understand how a text is organized by practicing close reading. To reveal the objective criteria of appreciation of good literature. To tell the main fiction genres within their historical framework and to support the literary tastes of the students.
