Course Objectives: 

This lab-based course is designed to give students a brief introduction to common statistical software that are used in some courses of the Economics curriculum as well as Economic Research applications. The course does not intend to teach statistical concepts and theories, but rather intend to help students build basic competence related to data management, analysis and visualization across different programs.

Course Content: 

Ders süresince iki program öğretilecektir; Excel ve E-views, ancak ders süresince E-view programına daha fazla zaman ayrılacaktır. Ders süresince aynı zamanda sıkça kullanılan, Dünya Bankası, OECD, IMF ve TUİK gibi kurumların web sayfalarında veri setine nasıl ulaşılacağı ve nasıl indirileceği ile ilgili bilgiler ders boyunca, belli sıkılıklarla anlatılacaktır.
