Course Objectives: 

This lab-based course is designed to give students a brief introduction to common statistical software that are used in some courses of the Economics curriculum as well as Economic Research applications. The course does not intend to teach statistical concepts and theories, but rather intend to help students build basic competence related to data management, analysis and visualization across different programs.

Course Content: 

The course will cover two software, Excel and E-views yet the majority of the course will be spent on teaching E-views. The course will also help students to learn where and how to obtain statistical data and how to arrange them for statistical analysis. Data tools of some common data sources like World Bank, OECD, IMF, TUIK will also be presented throughout different phases of the course
