Course Objectives:
This course is designed to provide students with a sound understanding of the mechanics of doing business abroad and familiarize them with unique problems, characteristics of organizations engaging in international business.
Course Content:
Major themes addressed include the emerging New Economy, globalization, differences in the socio-economic, political and cultural environments of international business, foreign direct investment, regional economic integrations and/or blocs, global strategy, methods of entering foreign markets, global marketing, global human resource management, and the multinational companies in terms of their organizational designs, managerial practices, etc.
